Sveti Ivan

A wild pebble cove at the foot of Lubenice, the ancient hilltop village perched some 380 metres directly above. Getting down takes a steep 40-odd minutes on a rough path — sturdy shoes required — and coming back up considerably longer, which is exactly why the exceptionally clear water stays quiet even in August. There are no facilities at all: bring everything, take everything back. A large rock splits the beach in two, and boats occasionally drop swimmers in the bay.
