Lopar's 'Paradise Beach': almost two kilometres of sand with knee-deep water far from shore, on CNN's list of the world's 100 best beaches. This is Rab's family flagship — sandcastle terrain, volleyball, an inflatable aquapark, playgrounds, lifeguards and a full row of restaurants and bars, with a dog-friendly stretch at the southern end. It is the island's busiest beach by some distance in July and August, and it leans lively: expect beach events and noise in peak weeks.
