About
A beach in Soline bay on the north-east of Krk, beside Čižići, known for the grey mud people scoop by hand from the shallows. The Croatian Geological Survey put about 1,200 tonnes of high-grade black mud in this bay; the county study that cites the figure also records damage from uncontrolled digging. The beach is free, with showers, drinking water and a car park that fills fast in season.

Evidence

Protection
A 2014 development plan noted that any works here would need nature-protection consent. Dig by hand, rinse in the sea, take nothing away.
