About
A pebble cove sealed off by high cliffs, with a sea entrance so narrow the beach is almost invisible from open water. The bay formed when a large karst cave collapsed, and the limestone shows beneath the surface — good snorkelling territory. Named Europe's best beach in 2016, it has been Vis's most visited spot ever since: come early or late in the day. Reached by a steep 15-minute path or by taxi boat from Vis and Komiža; a small seasonal bar is the only service.
