Sakarun

The Zadar archipelago's famous 'Caribbean' bay on the northwest tip of Dugi otok: some 300 metres of fine white pebble and sand over a pale sandy seabed, with shallows stretching around 250 metres offshore — small children can wade far out safely. Pine woods behind the beach give natural shade and two seasonal beach bars cover the basics. A tourist train runs from Božava every couple of hours, and the bay's mooring buoys make it a favourite anchorage.
