About

A small sand-and-fine-pebble beach at the foot of the 200-metre Konavle cliffs, with an origin story to match the setting: rock excavated from a wartime tunnel was dumped into the sea here, and the waves milled it into a beach. Ranked 39th on the World's 50 Best Beaches list in 2023, it has stayed surprisingly calm — no facilities, no bar, just a narrow path cut into the cliff from the village of Popovići above. Bring water, shade and decent shoes; it earns the effort.
