About

Lumbarda's big sand beach: half a kilometre of south-facing golden sand framed by something you will not see elsewhere — working vineyards of the indigenous Grk grape running down to the back of the beach, with pine woods to the east. The open southern exposure means proper sunsets and the occasional lively wave. Two beach bars, a sand-volleyball court and paid summer parking cover the essentials; the western half draws families, the far eastern end is quieter. Twenty minutes' walk from Lumbarda, fifteen by bus from Korčula town.
