About
Few beaches anywhere swim with this backdrop: the Slava Raškaj town beach on the Kupa looks up at Ozalj's clifftop castle and the 1908 Munjara — the first sizeable power station in continental Croatia, built to light Karlovac. Named after the watercolourist born here, the beach was renewed through an EU-supported project: changing cabins, outdoor shower, a stage, sports courts, SUP and kayak rental, and a weekend beach bar. The Kupa enters gradually here, and the county institute's June 2026 sampling rated it excellent.
