Copacabana

Osijek's beloved 'Kopika' on the left bank of the Drava, opposite the Tvrđa fortress, reopened in June 2026 after the biggest overhaul in its fifty-year history — a roughly €13 million, EU-co-funded reconstruction. Two distinct things share the name: the renovated pool complex (a 1,550 m² recreation pool with a slide, a kids' spray park, six food spots, accessibility throughout) and the free river beach itself, where the city tops up the sand each year on what is often called continental Croatia's most visited beach.
